As John L. Scott brokers, our mission is transactional excellence and client satisfaction. That means we work tirelessly to make your home buying or selling process as efficient, stress-free and lucrative for you as possible.
Meet Brian and Rebekah
Brian Truman’s real estate career began in 2013, and was drawn to the industry by the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with his clients through his work. He works with his wife Rebekah, forming The Truman Experience team based out of the John L. Scott Westwood office.
The Truman Experience team often works with clients in Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, Des Moines, Renton, Maple Valley, Shoreline and Auburn. Brian’s experience in real estate spans many areas, but he has a particular love for working with first-time home buyers and military families who are changing duty stations or using a VA loan. He also enjoys helping clients sell a home they’ve outgrown, negotiating the best price possible for them!
To Brian, today’s market is like a jungle, and his job is to serve as a guide for clients. A jungle holds many pitfalls and dangerous paths but can also offer great beauty, and sometimes treasure! Brian’s goal is to guide his clients to that treasure, whether that means helping them avoid buying a home that might need too much in repair costs or negotiating the best price for his seller clients. Through all this, his stamina and dedication to clients sets The Truman Experience apart from the competition.
Brian and Rebekah have been married for 20 years and have three sons. The two met while volunteering at a nonprofit in Kitsap County that helps train and house youth in need, and they are still supporters of the organization to this day! Brian is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and enjoys exercising, backpacking, camping, overlanding, and international travel in his spare time.
West Seattle
A short drive, but a world away, West Seattle has its own sense of community while still feeling like an integral part of Seattle. Whether you are here to enjoy the beaches at Alki and Lincoln Park, to shop at the Junction, or to make a home, you’ll find a neighborhood pride and close-knit community unlike any other in the Pacific Northwest. True to its name, West Seattle lies to the west of downtown Seattle, and it can be accessed from the heart of Seattle via the West Seattle Bridge or a passenger-only water taxi. West Seattle is surrounded on three sides by the waters of Puget sound. All this water provides many aquatic activities, and our part of Seattle features some of the best views of the Olympic and Cascade mountains, not to mention the view of the beautiful Seattle skyline. In a lot of ways, West Seattle feels like a beach town. A summer stroll along Alki provides plenty of opportunities to watch beach volleyball players, dine on fresh seafood, and take in the sun. The Fauntleroy ferry near Lincoln Park will whisk you away to Vashon Island or the west Sound. West Seattle is also home to great schools, parks and shopping as well. If you’re looking for beaches, great restaurants, cute boutiques, and a small town vibe, West Seattle might be just the place for you. If you’d like to learn more about West Seattle, let us know. We’d love to show you around and help you find your perfect home.
Reviews
“Brian and Rebekah are an amazing team—they were with us every step of the way as we prepared our home and put it on the market. They offered good counsel and suggestions but also gave us space to make decisions that we felt comfortable with. I can honestly say that we didn’t feel a moment of stress during our home sale and they went above and beyond what we expected.” – Leah S.
“To say that buying a home in the Seattle market is competitive is a ridiculous understatement. Brian somehow made buying our first home an adventure instead of a dreaded task. I really felt like we were a party of three combing through to find our perfect home. Brian made scheduling viewings a breeze, was very responsive and knowledgeable, and had endlessly helpful input and resources for us to tap into. We did find our perfect home in this bananas market and couldn't have done so without The Truman Experience. Thank you, Brian, we will miss hanging out with you so often, but we're so happy you helped us find our beautiful home!” – Ciana Lobo
“Brian was amazing to work with. This was our first time selling our house and he made the experience easy and realistic. We appreciated his honesty, support, knowledge and professionalism from beginning to the end. Brian is kind and passionate about helping others and also thinks in terms of if he was going through the same thing. My husband and I would work with Brain and his team again and HIGHLY recommend him to anyone selling their home in the Washington State area.” – Bobby Knight
